Christina Tipsword has earned degrees from Michigan State University Health Studies BS, University of Michigan Health Behavior Health Education (HBHE)/Master of Public Health (MPH) and California State University Stanislaus Business Administration Masters.
Her professional career started in 2001 working as a health educator for the University of Michigan Detroit Middle School Asthma Project. Upon moving to Modesto she continued her career at the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency. Today she manages the community health education department and oversees an employee wellness program for Sutter Gould Medical Foundation employees as the Manager of the Community Health Education and Manager of the Maino Community Health Library for Sutter Gould Medical Foundation, Modesto.
Christina’s volunteer and service includes:
Kafue District Health Management Board, Kafue, Zambia, Africa as an Intern/Volunteer (Summer 2003), where she promoted and supervised National Measles Campaign, which successfully vaccinated 4,000 children.
She is a member of Soroptimist International of Modesto North (Recording Secretary 2008-2009), Stanislaus Health Foundation Board Member (2007- present), Stanislaus Health Foundation President (2010), March of Dimes, American Heart Walk committee member and the HEART Coalition chair (2009).
